Diggers Forest School
Our South Harting Forest School is located southeast of Petersfield on the West Sussex and Hampshire border surrounded by natural beauty in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The Forest School and is set across stunning farmland and woodland, accessing both private and public areas. This unique setting offers a wealth of opportunities for children, from pond dipping, tree climbing, and mud sliding to nurturing our vegetable garden and playing in our woodland den.
South Harting
The Forest School is based on the edge of South Harting Village, in the shadow of Harting Down. Church Farm is truly idyllic, with its 400-year-old buildings, ancient woodland and clear silver stream. It offers children unique opportunities to observe and interact with nature in safe, secluded surroundings.
Learning
What is not to like about splashing in puddles, digging in the sand or squelching and playing with mud. Diggers provides the perfect platform for meeting this recommendation.
School Readiness
An important part of what we do at Diggers is preparing the children for school. It is so rewarding for us to know that a child is ready for their next big adventure.
Hours & Fees
Diggers Forest School is for children aged 21 months – 5 years. Open – 51 weeks of the year. Places are allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
Food & Drink
Nutritional wellbeing is important to us at Diggers. We recognise the importance of children being provided with healthy food options. The children have a lot of physical exercise throughout the day and therefore nutrition is very important.
Opportunities
We would dearly love to expand by opening another setting. If you would like advice or require mentoring we can help. We would be happy to invest time and money in the right person or business.
Coronavirus
We have stayed safe by complying with all Government Guidance and by the team working incredibly hard to keep themselves and the children safe.
